When I first heard the guitar gimmick in "Ming Tea" 's "daddy wasn't there" (sung by Austin Power; a great women's lover); I knew I would do somethin' with it. I went to the dinosaurs cemetery and found the grave of the fantastic original version of "American woman" from the Canadian band The Guess Who. That was the good choice! As it's a mid- tempo track, was not easy to find the right ingredients to work with it. I called Busta Rhymes and The Verve's strings at the rescue. For once DJ Le Clown didn't spread too much gallons of blood in this video ! Just hired few american women from Marylin to Katharin Hepburn and... Divine for the fun; i didn't wanted to use the worst of her!... Well wish u all a good summer of love. Dedicated to the Mysterious D...She's american that's for sure, but rather more sweet than bitter...
