With the passing away of Michael Jackson, it seems like it's the end of an era.  The King of pop has been unparalleled in his success, and with easier tools to create music and more ways to distribute music, there's a lot of great music out there - so the market is splintered.  I doubt we'll ever see anyone match his level of "success".  In quotes because although he was extremely successful in terms of generating genius pop songs and selling them to the masses, he of course was a very troubled individual.  He was going to come back with a big tour, but alas it was never meant to be, and it might be for the better - his health seemed to have been failing him for quite some time, and nobody wants to watch as someone gets sicker.  His life is a sad tale, but there are happy parts to it, and he goes out like a champion in at least some senses of the term.  Most notably, in the music sense!  So here we have a bunch of mashups, bootlegs, and remixes for you, some we've posted before, but lots is new, and and here it all is in two tidy zip files.  Tracklisting and downloads after the jump.

BOOTIE BERLIN "Opening Night" with Party Ben this Friday...

This will be a Mash-Weekend in Berlin. On Friday we celebrate the big opening of "BOOTIE Berlin" @ the SilverWings Club: We have Party Ben, the mashup legend from San Francisco, the first time in Berlin; best Bastard Pop trackz for your ears, free BOOTIE CD's; a Midnight Mashup Show; Pirate decoration and much fun. Get the actual BOOTIE Top 10 at the website. On Saturday we have "Christoper Street Day" in Berlin, and we will make some Afterhour in the U5-Club, with our "Mash-Up Your Bootz Party". Ed Home's Angel makes Boom Boom Pow...

Berlin's own Bastard Pop producer Ed Home did some fine work with the actual Black Eyed Peas "hit" "Boom Boom Pow"
The result is a nice Electro Remix Version with Paul van Dyk's "For An Angel '09".
The tune also hit the Toronto Star's "Anti-Hit List" last week. Congratz Ed Home.
