Having already battled in Europe, Germany's BootOx and Austria's DJ Schmolli are taking their rivalry overseas where the two will perform at L.A.'s monthly Bootie in April. The stop is the first of four for Schmolli as he makes his way across the US, playing San Francisco, New York and Boston before returning home. If you have the chance, I can't stress enough how great an opportunity this is if you live in those cities—Schmolli is one to the world's premiere bootleggers and a hell of a guy to boot (boot, get it?). Prior to taking off on his journey he dropped a fresh track combining the Beastie Boys with Metallica and, what is fast-becoming the most overused song in mashups this year, the Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go." Say what you will about the source material, but the man does good work.
Thanx Chris for the post, appreciate it!
