BOOTIE RIO - The first BOOTIE Party under the equator line

The first BOOTIE Rio happens this friday 14th may, in the club Fosfobox, in Copacabana neighborhood, in Rio, with the pair A + D, creators of BOOTIE, as headliners, along with the brazilian BOOTIE Rio resident, Lucio K, and the boy Andrew Paste, only 18 years, which began producing mashups at 17 and was nominated for best producer for the DJ Mag Brazil this year.

So it's time to have here at MashUpTown a little view into the Brazilian Mashup Scene.

The man behind the party is Fabiano Moreira, he works as journalist, and is a big fan of Mashups for long time. DJ Faroff, of BOOTIE Boston, is brazilian too, and he built a bridge between Fabiano and  A + D, thinking of bringing the party to Brazil. And they are all totally in love with A + D and whole BOOTIE family around the world.

Brazilian producers have a mashup of special DNA, it's single and unique, they like to mix pop music to Brazilian music, like samba, lambada, funk, or regional rhythms, giving them a unique identity. Therefore, Adrian Roberts liked the idea of making a flyer that was a mashup of Carmen Miranda and Lady Gaga, to show that Brazilian flavour. Their way of mashing! Of course, it's an cultural and sociological approach, and, at dancefloor, they are going to play pop music! But, at mixtapes, they love that crash of cultures!

Yay! Can't wait for Bootie Rio! Although, actually, the first Bootie party underneath the equator line was actually Bootie Brisbane in Australia. Don't forget our Ozzie friends! :-)
