Not all together sure when this mash-up treat was created by Dopplebanger but I'd say it probably dates back to early '05, or even late '04. In "Take on Me Brotha", Dopplebanger does a nice job with maintaining solid song structure all the while weaving a very clean "Jungle Brother" acapella through what is probably the most recognizable 80s pop anthem - A-Ha's "Take On Me". Both "Jungle Brother", from the 1997 album titled "Raw Deluxe" by the Jungle Brothers, and "Take On Me" harmonically and thematically compliment each other in a "80s pop meets early 90s rap" sentimentality. Aside for the ending (which in my humble opinion could have been better), Dopplebanger drops a nice one on the mash-up world. Let's all salute his Dopplebanging-ness and bang it till there's no more to bang.
Acapella: Jungle Brothers - "Jungle Brother"
