Hope you all are having a great weekend. We thought we'd pay some respect and give some big ups to one of the early pioneers in the Mashup world - DJ Zebra. This track is close to 5 years old and takes us back to 2002. Zebra had this to say recently about the track in an interview:
I didn't know where to find acapellas, so i needed a track with space in it (the Shaggy song had only electronic drums, low bass and voice), then I could add heavy drums and guitars (the RATM riff), without equalizing it. It sounded good, I still play it, and it has become a hit of the bootlegs parties.
Great A+B that plays as good now as it did in '02. Props to DJ Zebra and make sure you check him out at his site (here). He also has his own radio show which you can feel here. Soon to be placed on the Greatest Hits Playa here at MTown. Show some love for DJ Zebra. And aahhh we are a little late to the party but if you do the Myspace won't you please be our friend :) (click here). Peace.
