This Mid Week Mashup just arrived via Air Mail from our Mate Tim Lee who is Mashin' it up Down Under. Throw another FatBoy on the barbie! Enjoy Fatboy vs. Blackstreet and much love to all our Mashup Artists in Aussieland. Speaking of Aussieland if anyone has a Mashup using a track from Midnight Oil (one of my favorite bands) send it along to email@example.com. Don't forget this Mashuptown Podcast also has an internet streaming Radio station www.mashuptownradio.com to help you with your fix when your ipod isn't around.
Happy Memorial Day to those of you living statside. A special Memorial day Mashup that I just came across and couldn't wait to post. "Smells like Booty" takes the harsh grunge sound of Nirvana and blends in the angelic voices of Destiny's Child. You would never expect this to sound right but it does. Smell some Booty with this weeks extra Mashup of the Week Podcast. Don't forget if you have someone who is technlogically impaired and want them to enjoy and sample some of the Mashup's we feature on Mashuptown.com there is now a 24/7 Streaming Mashup station - Mashuptownradio. We are in the process of building a playlist and should have interviews with the DJ's that make these kickin' Mashups. So when you are too lazy to get out your mp3 player or just want to sit back and enjoy some force fed Mash pop on over to www.mashuptownradio.com
Well I've been playin' with www.mashuptownradio.com or (www.live365.com/stations/mashuptown). Yup live Mashup radio (well sometimes) - but for sure streaming Mashups 24/7 live. Cool thing is I've managed to do it totally legit. That's right our ass is covered from the Man shutting us down. All the legalese and such biz is taking care of. We will be rolling this out over the next month or so. One challenge is the broadcast software, streaming is ok but broadcasting live is a bitch. You may hear some scary shit while we test the system for levels and such. Bummer is that for now we have to stream thru live365.com. Soon we will be broadasting from the Rville.com server. Blast an email to my partner firstname.lastname@example.org and bust his balls about not setting up a channel for Mashuptown.com. We will keep you updated and fresh onto the goings on and such. If you are a Mash DJ drop me an email. Would love to record some interviews and gather as much info on you all for your loyal and fanatic listeners. Have a great weekend.
Toneblender's 'Take Your Mama Fighting' is this weeks Mashup. The Scissor Sisters take on metal monsters Nickleback while Elton John looks on from the cheap seats. A rockin blend of Nickleback vs. The Scissor Sisters. This DJ creates a perfect mash to kick start your weekend. Word to your Mama.
Fresh Mash courtesy of our Man with a Plan, Super Magistic Steve Jones. This summertime Mash couldn't have found us at a better time. It celebrates the ten year anniversary of Grouphome's livin' proof. It includes Grouphomes "Supastar overtop" and Hard Candy's 'Summer of '95'.
Sunny Day, roof down, crawlin' along the strip with this Mash beatin; - got to love Summertime. Enjoy and give a shout out of thanks to Super Magistic Steve Jones.
